Our client, a growing contract manufacturer in Central Vermont, is known for delivering high-quality electromechanical and electro pneumatic machines for industries including packaging, beverage systems, and 3D printing. As they continue to expand, they’re seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their collaborative, innovation-driven team.
About the Role
As a Mechanical Engineer, you’ll play a key role in developing and improving manufacturing processes, supporting both internal production and client-driven projects. This position blends hands-on problem-solving with CAD design, Lean manufacturing, and cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities
Design and develop production cells, tooling, and fixtures
Improve line layouts and workflows using Lean/Kaizen principles
Create and update CAD drawings and technical documentation
Support prototyping, testing, and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)
Collaborate with production, quality, and purchasing teams
Assist with estimating costs and timelines for engineering projects
Requirements
Bachelor’s or associate degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent experience)
5+ years of mechanical engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
Proficiency in CAD software and hands-on prototyping
Strong communication and cross-team collaboration skills
Familiarity with Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement
Location: Client’s Vermont manufacturing facility
