Plant Engineer / Maintenance Manager

This is a key position reporting to their CEO.   You will manage and direct all plant maintenance activities with a team of 4 direct reports. This is a first shift position with hours of 6:30-3:30 Monday-Thursday and 6:30-12:30 on Friday.  Time responsibilities could also involve overseeing night shift maintenance urgencies.

 

Responsibilities:

·      Manage and direct all plant maintenance activities of our metal stamping manufacturing facility

·      Manage outside subcontracting to effectively maintain and upgrade plant equipment and all electrical / electronic components. 

·      Investigate and source capital equipment.

·      Direct, assist and develop maintenance staffing.

·      Be fully proficient with all machinery to perform maintenance work and to train as needed.

·      Monitor and control the quality of workmanship performed by mechanics & electricians.

·      Administration of discipline and attendance policies per company policies.

·      Electronic wiring, controls and maintenance for the plant and the industrial equipment

·      Implement, maintain and upgrade the plant preventive maintenance program.

·      Plant safety compliance, including pollution, health department regulations and OSHA requirements.

·      Assure, monitor and maintain equipment spare parts, organize and control all maintenance inventories.

·      Proficient knowledge and understanding of all quality assurance procedures and requirements.

·      Responsible for maintenance department housekeeping in all work areas through proper scheduling and direction of those activities.

·      Demonstrate good communication skills that will enhance employee development and promote good relations.

·      Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

 

 

 

Qualifications:

·      Minimum of at least 5 years of maintenance experience in metal stamping and/or deep drawing manufacturing

·      Machining experience a plus

·      Milling and lathe competency

·      Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.

·      Previous management and supervisory experience required.

·      Able to maintain a Preventive Maintenance Program, inventory and related budget experience as well as cost justifications on modifications and improvements.

 

Education:

·      High school diploma or equivalent - associate or bachelor’s degree preferred (electro-mechanical or related)

·      Journeyman level electrician a plus

 

Compensation:

·      $100,000+ dependent upon experience.
