Position: Senior Wire and Cable Process Engineer
We have been retained by our client to locate an experienced and passionate Senior Wire and Cable Process Engineer to provide technical expertise and leadership in ensuring the manufacture of high-quality products that meet our client’s customers’ needs. As a Senior Wire and Cable Process Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing process improvements, as well as providing technical guidance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement new cable products and manufacturing processes
• Interface with customers as needed to assist in the design and development of modified or new products to meet their needs.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to transfer new technologies and processes
• Provide technical support to marketing and sales teams, including creating samples, technical data, and presentations
• Manage key development and processing projects, ensuring timely completion and goal achievement
• Train production personnel on new technologies and industry best practices
• Investigate and develop new cable designs, materials, and processes
• Improve existing products and processes to maintain industry leadership
• Provide processing support to R&D, operations, sales, and marketing teams
• Evaluate and procure materials, equipment, and tooling for cable manufacturing and testing
• Create and document manufacturing processes
• Analyze competitors' products and stay up to date on industry trends
Requirements and Skills:
• 4-year electrical degree plus 6+ years of relevant experience (or equivalent)
• Experience in wire and cable process and/or design
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
• Strong project management and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Attention to detail and creative thinking
Full time on-site position with occasional travel. Normal Monday – Friday work week (occasional evening and weekends – project dependent). Must be able to occasionally lift 50 pounds.
Compensation: Range begins at $90,000 and increases based on experience.
