Description

We have been engaged to help them locate a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Specialist to support purchasing and inventory management functions across three Upper Valley Vermont manufacturing facilities. This role blends strategic procurement responsibilities—including purchase order creation, vendor relationship management, and cost negotiation—with hands-on inventory control in warehouse operations. You will be instrumental in maintaining efficient supply chains while ensuring compliance with medical device manufacturing standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

·      Create and issue purchase orders while actively monitoring order status and delivery timelines.

·      Identify qualified suppliers and negotiate competitive pricing for packaging, supplies, and materials.

·      Review purchase requisitions and supplier specifications, then provide comprehensive documentation to the accounting department.

·      Perform regular inventory cycle counts for packaging, inks, and plant supplies across both Upper Valley locations.

·      Address vendor discrepancies, including order errors, shipping delays, and damaged shipments.

·      Coordinate and manage supplier corrective action requests to ensure quality and compliance.

·      Maintain complete and accurate supplier documentation in compliance with medical device manufacturing regulations.

Qualifications & Requirements

·      Associate's degree or equivalent hands-on experience in purchasing, materials management, or supply chain operations.

·      Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and purchase order/ERP software systems.

·      Excellent communication and negotiation skills with strong attention to detail.

·      Comfort working in diverse settings, including office and warehouse environments.

·      Willingness to travel periodically between facility locations.

·      Ability to physically lift up to 40 lbs, bend, and actively participate in inventory counts.
