GW Plastics became part of Nolato in 2020 (their website merged into Nolato’s). Nolato is a publicly traded Swedish firm with global operations specializing in making a wide range of products and components out of polymer materials which include plastics, silicones and thermoplastic rubber. GW is an independentoperating unit. Globally, Nolato employs 6,700 team members with revenues of $8 billion and profits of$900MM. Locally, GW employs several hundred team members at their Vermont facilities. These positions provide a high degree of upward mobility within the GW and Nolato organizations. 

The Area 

These positions are at Nolato/GW’s Royalton, Vermont facility.  Royalton is in what is termed the “UpperValley” area. This area is close to Montpelier, Vermont’s capital as well as Hanover, New Hampshire home to Dartmouth College and Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center.

Schools. 

·      Great public schools are available. Additionally, some of the surrounding towns qualify for the Vermont school choice program, meaning that residents with secondary age students have the option of sending their children to local public schools or to independent/private schools located within or outside the area.

Shopping and other items of interest.

·      Woodstock, Vermont is one of the most photographed villages in the Northeast and located just a short drive from both locations.

·      Hanover, NH. Hanover, the home of Dartmouth College, their various graduate schools/medicalschool and Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center is about an hour away. This is a small, intimate college town with many cultural amenities. White River Junction across the Connecticut River from Hanover is going through a major transformation with many new restaurants and cultural attractions.King Arthur Baking Company is nearby.

·      Burlington, Vermont. Home of several colleges, attractions and shopping located on the shores of Lake Champlain. It is the home of the University of Vermont, their medical school and hospital. 

·       Montpelier, Vermont. Vermont’s capital, less than 45 minutes from either location.

·      Outdoor sports. This is a great four season area for outdoor sports from fly fishing (Orvisheadquarters and school about an hour away), hiking in the Green Mountain National Forest or Appalachian Trail, downhill/cross country skiing, mountain biking and much more.

·       A full complement of churches, service clubs and volunteer opportunities are in the area.
