Temporary Accounts Receivable Reconciliation Specialist
Part-Time or Full-Time | Flexible Hours | Potential Remote Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable professional for a temporary project focused on customer payment and invoice reconciliation. This assignment offers considerable flexibility and may be structured as either part-time or full-time, with the possibility of remote work for the right candidate.
The Assignment
The primary responsibility will be to perform a detailed review and reconciliation of customer payments against invoices issued by the company. The successful candidate will identify discrepancies, document findings, and provide clear reports to the Accounts Receivable Supervisor for follow-up and resolution.
Because the reconciliation may require reviewing historical transactions going back several years, this has the potential to become a longer-term temporary assignment.
Key Responsibilities
Review customer payment histories and compare payments against invoices
Reconcile accounts and identify payment and invoicing discrepancies
Research historical transactions, potentially covering multiple years
Organize and document findings in a clear, accurate manner
Prepare reconciliation reports for the Accounts Receivable Supervisor
Maintain accuracy and confidentiality when working with financial information
Work independently and manage the project efficiently
Qualifications
Previous experience in Accounts Receivable, accounting, bookkeeping, or financial reconciliation
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
Ability to identify discrepancies and work through historical financial records
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Solid Microsoft Excel skills are required, including:
Sorting and filtering
Spreadsheet formatting
VLOOKUP
Organizing and analyzing large amounts of transactional data
